Sleep and the Menopause
Difficulty sleeping (insomnia) is a common symptom at menopause. Symptoms such as night sweats and anxiety can disrupt sleep. Even when symptoms are controlled with HRT insomnia can in some cases persist.
The aim of treatment is to control symptoms, normally with HRT, and use sleep techniques to change sleep habits and patterns.
