Dr Liz Andrew – Menopause Doctor
Dr Liz Andrew joined the team as an associate in April 2021. She has worked as a GP for over 12 years and developed a passion for offering women menopause care.
She is an advocate for giving women the knowledge and support they need to make choices about their own bodies during a time in their lives that can feel fraught.
She prescribes body identical HRT and encourages the use of lifestyle adjustments to actively improve wellbeing.
She has a specialist interest in the menopause and gut microbiome, histamine intolerance, hormones and lifestyle medicine. She is a Member of the British Menopause Society and is completing her Advanced Specialist in Menopause Certificate.
She graduated from Liverpool University Medical School with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery with Honours degree in 2002. Following this she initially pursued surgical training gaining Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2006. She trained in Plastic Surgery but decided to pursue a career in General Practice which took her through training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. This is where her interest in Women’s Health began. She has since gained Member ship to the Royal College of General Practitioners.
She has undertaken additional training in menopause as well as dermatology (skin) and lifestyle medicine to be able to fully advise her patients in how to achieve real wellbeing during menopause and thereafter.
She also works as a GP in an NHS practice in Cheshire and is mum to three young girls and married to a surgeon. She understands the unique and often misunderstood pressures on women which can become particularly difficult during the hormonal changes of peri menopause and thereon.
She has a love of reformer pilates and also enjoys getting out into nature to walk puppy Murphy, as well as travelling, skiing and beaches when the world allows.
