Dr Liz Andrew, specialist in menopause and PMS/PMDD
GMC | 6054727
Before joining the Menopause Care team, I worked in the NHS for over two decades including as a GP partner. I now practise solely in women’s hormonal health care. I have a particular interest in menopause and skin changes, early menopause, POI and PMS. I also support women who experience menopause symptoms following cancer treatments, including breast cancer, and those with family history of breast cancer. I have experience in supporting women with complex conditions and surgical menopause.
"If you start experiencing PMS for the first time or notice that your symptoms are getting worse, it could be an early sign of perimenopause (the transition period before menopause). This change is sometimes misdiagnosed as depression or anxiety because the symptoms can be similar. If you think you might be experiencing PMS, PMDD or PME, or if your symptoms are getting worse, it’s important to talk to your GP or one of our Menopause Care specialists who can guide you toward the right treatment options."
